I guess the quilted pillows won't get crossed off my Spring to Finish list... I did practice a little more free motion quilting last night - including some glittergoods loops - but I gave up quickly. The tension problems were not an issue like last time, but I just couldn't get the feel for moving the fabric under the needle, keeping a consistent stitch length, keeping jagged turns out of my loops... It was frustrating because I'm used to being able to figure things out quickly on my own. What, you mean two hours of free motion quilting does not an expert make? Who knew! I'm not giving up, but I think I'll have a couple more straight-line quilted blankets before I try this full scale.
