So are you sick of the baby presents yet? This was for a baby whose mommy is a quilter, so I tried to switch it up a little. Instead of a blankie, I did a
tag blankie. I know! Can you handle the variety??

(Yes,
same rattle, but it's so cute!)
I actually really love the onesies, a butterfly and heart that coordinate with the tag blankie. We got to meet the recipient this weekend and she is such a sweetie. Two weeks old, already 22" but still just over 7lbs. So long and skinny! Just adorable.

I had a few minutes to spare over the weekend and was feeling productive, so I pulled out a few beads and made these earrings:

They're really simple, but I love black and white together! Made with moonstone, onyx, and a freshwater pearl. It was fun getting back to some jewelry making!
In other jewelry news, I found
Etsy Metal recently... What a great way to find unique handmade jewelry! There is some amazing stuff featured there. Definitely a source for some Christmas shopping this year!

It feels so good to have something done... A blankie, toy, and matching onesies for our friends' new son Luke Henry. He's about a month old now, but luckily I got bigger onesies, so hopefully they still fit!

Next up, something for someone over one year old! In her 20's, in fact! I can't wait...
And now, even though it's not even 10pm, I'm going to bed. Darn daylight savings!

Well, as many of you guessed, we did find a good home for Hitch... ours! Yes, we're keeping him. We are now proud parents to a dog, three cats, and a gerbil. Yikes. But how can you give away a kitty this sweet?

As promised, I managed to photograph my new fabric...

Three
Prints Charming choices, five
Chocolate Lollipop, and two new
Heather Ross prints. All fabrics I've been drooling over. All from
eQuilter, I'm always so impressed with their selection and speedy delivery!
I think since I haven't had time to do much real sewing I shop to hold myself over. Kind of a dangerous habit, but this was with birthday money, so it's excused. I do have some hard and fast crafting time "scheduled" over the next few days, so finished projects to come, I promise!!

So without actually signing up for it, I had been thinking I would try to do
NaBloPoMo. Seeing there is a big empty space where a post from yesterday should be, obviously I am off to a great start!

I read over at
Beki's about
sewing room Friday and decided that is a good kick in the butt to get me posting! Once I had the new furniture and paint, I got too excited and went right to work, totally breaking my promise to my husband to keep the room neat since it's at the front of the house. What follows is the current state of my craft room, in all its messy glory!
My jewelry/scrapping table.
Piles, piles everywhere!
Sewing table with in progress blankie.
Gorgeous shelves, hidden by, you guessed it, more piles! My hope is to participate every Friday and gradually see things get a little neater...
Gorgeous Alicia-esque studio, here I come!!
