The Table Runner

I wanted a table runner for Halloween to put on our entry table, but even at Target the ones I liked were $15. Then I saw two-packs of Halloween napkins for $3 each. I picked up two packs, sewed them together, and voila:

It's not perfect, but it was only $6!!

The Turquoise Scarf

I found this pretty eyelash yarn at WalMart, and knit up this scarf really fast (don't I sound like an experienced knitter?? This was my first completed project!) on size 17 needles. I really like how it turned out. I still have to "weave in" the ends where I cast on and bound off, but other than that, it's done! I'm going to give it to my friend Lauren for Christmas, I think, because the yarn makes me think of her. Here's me being a model:

The Orange Purse

So I was looking for a purse that was just big enough to hold my calendar, and I didn't want to have to switch purses when I was wearing brown or black... I couldn't find one, so I went to Hancock and got some fabric. This is the result!

I've done it...

I've found more and more of my time in the evenings occupied by my new obsession with crafts. Handbags, stuffed animals, knit scarves, etched glasses, I want to try it all! I want to have a journal to keep track of all my projects and ideas, so here it is... Maybe someday I'll add "learn Movable Type" to my project list...
